What really matters

"Work hard to enter the narrow door to God's Kingdom, for many will try to enter but will fail. When the Master of the house has locked the door, it will be too late.
And people will come from all over the world to take their place in the Kingdom of God. And note this: Some who seem least important now will be the greatest then, and some who are the greatest now will be least important then." [Luke 13.24-25a,29-30]

God doesn't care about a person's earthly popularity, status, achievements, reputation, wealth, heritage, influence, or power; he cares about a person's commitment to Christ.
Many people whom God considers great get absolutely no worldly recognition.

Do not waste time trying to impress the world. Seek praise and honor instead from God alone.
His approval counts for eternity.
